Yurtcamp Devon has 22 contemporary yurts of two sizes set in forty acres of beautiful woodland. Some of our yurts are sited in small groups offering a pleasant village atmosphere whilst allowing guests their own space. But for those seeking more solitude, we have yurts sited remotely in a tranquil woodland setting. The overall interior effect is one of greater space and comfort than that offered by more conventional camping yet keeping that special outdoors camping feel.

THE YURTS – Small and Large
Yurtcamp has 22 contemporary yurts in two sizes (small and large) set in forty acres of beautiful woodland. Small yurts sleeps 2 people in one double bed with room for a travel cot. Large yurts sleep 5 people in one king size bed and three single beds (6 people with an additional folding bed that makes it rather cosier) with partitions to create separate bedrooms. Most of the site and several of our yurts are also wheelchair accessible.
Village Yurt – Our village yurts are sited in an informal village setting, a sociable environment which is ideal for friends, families and groups.
Woodland Yurts – Our woodland yurts are situated amongst the trees in our wonderful woodland to get more of that rustic wilderness feeling.
Secluded Woodland Yurts – The secluded woodland yurts are set hidden away within our beautiful natural woodland environment. If you hanker for a more remote and relaxed setting these are ideal.

FACILITIES AND ACTIVITIES ON-SITE
A short walk from the yurts is the amenity block including toilets, hot showers, hairdryers and mirrors with separate male, female and disabled facilities. Few modern campsites allow fires but here at Yurtcamp we love the crackling of a campfire and the smell of wood smoke in the air. We feel it’s an essential part of your holiday experience and positively encourage you to make a fire in your fire pit and enjoy the primal satisfaction it offers. Many a tale is told and memories made around the campfire.
We have two farm animal pens, a games field, a zip wire, a woodland adventure course and children’s play areas. Plus there is an independently run wonderful café bar, ‘The Woodland Café and Pancake House’, serving a wide variety of food from breakfast to divine freshly made pancakes and drink that includes a licensed bar and wifi.

WEDDINGS AND CEREMONIES
Yurtcamp provides a unique exclusive setting for your wedding ceremony and reception. We are a licensed venue for wedding ceremonies for up to a hundred and twenty people, guest can be accommodated in our yurts and there is an additional camping field should there be an over spill. Breakfast is served at the independently run Woodland Cafe and Pancake House cafe and bar situated on-site. We recommend some of the best local catering services in the area, ranging from rustic campfire suppers to candlelit wedding receptions that can be held in our large covered barn. In addition we also offer our Giant Tipi that can be used for live music and dancing facilities, or maybe something else we haven’t thought of yet.

PRIVATE EVENTS AND PARTIES
Other than in the main school holidays Yurtcamp is available for private parties, music events, retreats, corporate occasions, team building, bush craft courses, school trips and many many other functions. The yurts can accommodate groups from five to a hundred and twenty people and large groups are able to book the whole site. Please enquiry for more details.

LOCATION
Yurtcamp is located in South Devon, just fifteen minutes off the end of the M5 and mid-way between Ashburton and Bovey Tracey with all of the fantastic walks, rock scrambling and scenery that Dartmoor has to offer right on our doorstep.
